History

For History A Level, the first two units focus on the Early Tudors, 1485-1558 and Russia, 1894-1941.  Please see below for prep work for both units.

Early Tudors, 1485-1558

1. Create factfiles for the following key people who appear on the course.  Factfiles should cover dates of birth/death, family background, key events in life, reasons they were significant.

  • Henry VII
  • Henry VIII
  • Edward VI
  • Mary I

  • Thomas Wolsey
  • Thomas Cromwell
  • Catherine of Aragon
  • Anne Boleyn

'Dip into' any of the titles below for contextual reading (a couple available online for free, others can be purchased second hand fairly cheaply - no pressure to do this at all though - the free online resources will be more than enough).
