UCAS Parents Guide for 2024 Entry

The UCAS Parent, Guardian and Carer Guide helps to support your child with their higher education choices. In tutorial lessons since Christmas we have been exploring the different options available to students post 18 and recently students have registered for a UCAS account and have been filling in their application form online. Those students not wishing to apply to university have been looking at writing a CV ready for applications for apprenticeships or the world of work. Hopefully this guide will give you more information concerning this. Students have also received both a hard copy and electronic copy of the schools booklet giving advise and help about applying to university. Please ask them to show you this if they have not already done so.

We would advise students to visit, where possible, universities they are interested in applying to. Many of these are at weekends, however please let the sixth form office know if an absence from school is required for you to attend an open day.
