Welcome to Sixth Form! Thank you for considering Drama and Theatre studies at Bishop Stopford. Drama and Theatre Studies is challenging, intellectually stimulating, and artistically rewarding for the students who study it. In addition to looking at the way theatre has developed and changed since its ancient forms, you will also look at how theatre was then, and still is today, a reflection of the society that creates it. You will learn to develop communication skills, teamwork, and foster tolerance and empathy. You may choose to study as a performer, director, or designer (or a combination of all three) and work closely with your teachers and peers to find your theatrical passion. Drama and Theatre studies is the exciting opportunity to build on previous dramatic skills and develop new ones.  Through debate, discussion, performance, and critiquing the drama of yesterday and today, you will find a way to approach future opportunities - in the theatre or out - with confidence and a broad and open mindset.
